  • What are the prerequisites for participating in the Teacher Training program?

    We recommend participants undertaking the course have existing knowledge and experience in teaching ballet, or have strongly developed their own classical ballet technique and artistry. Teachers who have educational experience, but no dance training, please contact [email protected] to discuss your involvement.

  • How much is the teacher training course?

    The standard price is $1250 (inc GST) which can be paid in full or 5 x monthly payments of $250. This fee gives you access to the marketing assets for 365 days and certification to be a QB Ballet for Seniors licensee

  • What is included in the registration fee?

    As part of the registration fee you will attend a two-day workshop delivered by a team of highly skilled QB Teaching Artists. At the workshop you will receive a suite of printed teaching resources including QB Ballet for Seniors teaching framework, lesson plans for Ballet for Seniors Foundations, Level 1 and Level 2 courses. The fee also includes access to a suite of marketing assets including a marketing guide, logos, QB repertoire videos and more to support your program delivery. Once you commence delivery your studio/class details will also be included on the QB Ballet for Seniors Licensee web page.

  • Am I required to undertake further training after completing this course?

    To further develop your teaching practice, and gain insights from QB Artistic staff and leading industry experts, all licensees will be required to complete 2 x Professional Development Workshops (online or in-person) each calendar year. These will be valued at $150 each or 2 for $250.

  • How long is the teacher training workshop?

    The workshop is held over two days generally is Saturday 8.30am - 3.30pm and Sunday 8.30am - 1.30pm. Final schedule will be distributed to participants prior to workshop.

  • What can I expect and what do I need to prepare for the workshop?

    You will be actively working throughout the weekend, so please ensure you wear appropriate attire, and move within you comfort levels at all times. We also encourage you to bring your laptop/notebook if available and water and food for breaks throughout the weekend.
